ALEXIS DORNIER

Alpha House located in Bali on 280 square meters is designed by architect Alexis Dornier who left his New Yorker career behind and relocated to Ubud Bali. Considered as a single-story building the house has two stories. Wrapping up the house fluid form wooden roof and local material used in Bali architecture Kerobokan stone are the key elements of the design process.

In the case of the ‘alpha house’, walls become the roofs and create a silhouette, consisting of an iconic and rhythmic pattern that stick, completing the picture of an exciting object blending intensity environment-with the rolling mountainscape of Bali in its background.
